Time Management
Time management is
more of an attitude, a habit. It is not something that you can acquire for a
temporary period of time. Priorities must be set properly. I read somewhere (or
saw in a movie) that first you should think
about your goal and then before anything you do ask yourself "Is the thing
that I am going to do help me in achieving my goal?" This policy if
followed truly can lead to all the problems of time wasting look like stupid
shit.
I agree that this
ideology is extremely hard to follow ideally. But what I think is that your
marks will be directly proportional to how close you are to the ideal picture.
I attended school
regularly (even though a lot of people me advised against it). I had an almost
94 % attendance in Class 12. School was not a hindrance for me. I tried to
make the most of it. Studied my stuff during the breaks and free periods. I
used to listen to what chapter was going on in the class and revise everything
that I had learnt about it. (Be it school level or higher, Just something to
improve my efficiency).
I used to solve easy
biology and inorganic questions while on the commute. In the bus or the car or
basically wherever possible. (I am writing this post while sitting in a train
Here is a photo for proof.) for me the
commute time is the best free time I could ever get. I schedule my stuff, do
easy work that doesn't require a lot of intellect. And that constitutes like 50%
of the work.
If you respect your
time others even others will start respecting your time.
PS - I know this
sounds a bit boring and dull and I am preaching a lot here. ( Hopefully I will
reach the ideal sometime).
